On Friday September 9, 2011, I did an export from our local store software to a new eBay store. In order to do that, a program had to be written and executed in order to get the data into a format that eBay could use. It had been a long hard week and we had an error in the program that we didn't notice consequently we uploaded several items to eBay that should have listed for anywhere from $1000 to $5000 each but the program put them on eBay for $2.03 to $5.00. It was an obvious error as where can you buy a $3000 printer for $2.03?
Common sense would tell you that there was some kind of error. Even so, there were several people that bid on the items. The next day I notified the buyers that the listings were in error and the sales were cancelled. I also let them know that I would be glad to offer a discount on their next purchase in consideration of their troubles. When eBay sent them the cancellation notice all buyers agreed to cancel the transaction except for one person. This person wanted us to give him a positive feedback or he would not close the auction.
Of course the item is cancelled and that is not possible so I couldn't do it nor would I do it anyhow as the buyer did nothing to warrant a positive feedback. In fact, by even asking for a positive feedback he was telling me that he probably is less that scrupulous. I ended up paying the final auction fee and he has earned this page as an unreasonable person award.
I notified eBay user southwestoner, email@example.com and got the following responses:
1. First response:
Positive me , than I'll cancel the transaction , ok
2. His next message to me:
First you positive me
